Pope John Paul II referred to our Order as the "strong right arm of the Church" for their support of the church, as well as for their philanthropic and charitable efforts.
Continue your path to full Knighthood in our Order by going for your Formation (2nd) and Knighthood (3rd) Degrees. If you have gone through your Admission (1st) Degree, consider joining the ranks of full Knighthood in the Order. If you have previously experienced these Degrees, you need to participate again. The experience is very different as an observer.
Saturday September 15 is your opportunity. It's a short, "no frills" degree meaning your presence is only necessary from 11am until about 3:30pm. Spirit of Christ in Arvada is hosting this degree, and it's reasonably close. The following week there will be a degree ceremony in Yuma, and that's a lot further away from Denver!

So we need 2-3 volunteers to help cook the food. Please bring your family with you and enjoy visiting with the residents. Please Contact Us if you can help.

We will meet at the council hall at 11:30 am for a light breakfast and orientation for those new to this cause, then walk over to Lincoln Park between Broadway and Lincoln in front of the Capitol to assist in the distribution of food and other items as well as offering supportive conversation and interaction with those we are serving. Please dress appropriately and wear KofC gear.
The second of our Council's hosted Christmas parties. This event happens between 7pm and 8:30pm. This year the event will likely happen in the dining room because the Home's Chapel is under construction. Come one, come all! This is a very fun event where Father Joseph Hearty, fssp, leads the entertainment for the residents for about 45 minutes, usually wrapping up with some caroling by all. Santa Claus (Gregg Fanselau) arrives for the second half of the event, and all the children present are asked to help distribute gifts. The residents love receiving presents from our Council, bring your kids along and have a fun time! Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Contact Stephen Sweeney with any questions.
